I am finding myself between a bit of a rock and a hard place. I am working with a team and I handle the creation of Keyshot scenes. The issue I have is I need to create a scene that works in 100 different ways. We need to render our products (Plastic Cups) and they always go onto a white Background PDF. the issue I have is I need to create a scene that has the following wild requirements
- No ground shadows on the cups. floating in white void.
- Clear cups look good in the scene
- White cups look good in the scene
- Clear cups with white lids look good
- White cups with Clear lids look good. etc etc.
- No photoshop work after the render is complete. Good renders need to come out of Keyshot.
before we had scenes that could do all above, but did not look good (also had like 15 different clears materials and people would just drag one on randomly and go “Well that’s what the machine says is clear that must be right” which leaves me to redo a lot of renders and I really don’t want to sacrifice quality in the name of simplification.
I am using just default materials at the moment and I can create a scene that looks really great but I usually need to tweak settings. I have tried doing multiple scenes White Cup, Clear Cup, etc. and this has proved to be a bit too “Difficult” for people to properly comprehend because people just grab the first scene in the list. Any suggestions about how anyone else might handle this? I can post images if that would help.
